The actual time of playing cards occurred around 1377. Probably the Chinese were the first to play cards in around 950.The card game played with 52 card deck where in 1377. Since then a number of cards games were played with 52 card decks.
The exact origin of poker is not clear. It is estimated that in India a card game known as Teen Patti was played which was similar to poker. It included betting rounds. There were hand rankings and played with 52 card deck. All these features were similar to poker. But there was another game, an English game known as Brag was also similar to poker which includes phrases like blind, flush, pot, etc. it was also played with betting rules and card ranking similar to poker.
In 1480 the cards of Spades, Hearts, Diamonds and Clubs had been invented.
Early version of poker game was The Lying Game which was described in 1829. Around 1850 the Riverboat was emerged. These were the early pioneer of poker. After that various forms of poker came into existence including 3 card, Monte and early version of stud poker. Stud pokers eventually become the famous poker game. Texas Hold’em poker another variation of poker was invented around 1920. It was invented in Texas.
In the starting stage the poker was mainly played by cheats, outlaws, and knife-makers but today it is replaced by professional poker player. Today it is dealt by software programs connecting all around the world.
